About Weatherbar

Originally founded as a draught-proofing company, Weatherbar has been proudly established for over 40 years. Initially acquired by Parallel to meet the growing demand for quality home improvement products, as the market for draught-proofing shifted, Weatherbar too altered its course to meet the demand of DIY-ers, Grand Designers, and keen home improvement beginners.

Today, Weatherbar specialises in providing responsibly sourced wooden products, focusing on hardwood, with a selection of softwood products also manufactured in-house. Situated in rural Lincolnshire, the expertise of our team lies in taking high-quality manufactured hardwood—both solid and engineered—and finishing it to meet your specifications on-site, by hand, the way they always have been; allowing us to deliver custom solutions that suit an entirely unique range of design needs.

As a leading provider of hardwood mouldings, our team of craftsmen not only ensure an unrivalled attention to detail but also prioritises sustainability. Our timber is all sourced from certified, accredited and responsibly managed forests. So, whether you're working on a large-scale self-build project, DIY home renovation, or are just getting around to a project that you've just not had the time to finish off, Weatherbar offers the perfect combination of craftsmanship, eco-conscious materials, and personalised service.

The Weatherbar team is committed to helping you select and finish the ideal products for your project, ensuring that every piece reflects both your style and dedication to quality, with bespoke solutions that are built to stand the test of time.

Our History

A family-run business since day one, with roots going back to a humble garden shed, Weatherbar was founded by Tony Bell, now our Chair. From its small beginnings, the company as it stands has grown year-on-year under his guidance.

Parallel acquired Weatherbar from John Bainbridge 20 years ago and today, the Weatherbar brand sits in the hands of Tony's son, Graeme - our Managing Director - who leads the business alongside his father and mother - our Finance Director - making Weatherbar a true family affair.

From Those Early Days.....

Weatherbar has expanded steadily and now operates from a 30,000-square-foot facility, which the team has called home for the last three years.

With six full-time staff in the office and seven in the factory, all working together to deliver high-quality hardwood mouldings and profiles to our customers, the team of experts on-site has grown too.

For the past ten years, the Parallel Group has seen year-on-year growth, and today, proudly supplies 95% of the UK’s biggest flooring manufacturers, providing them with white-label products to take to market. And that's only the beginning.

In Partnership With Parallel

The team is working on developing a Weatherbar product range.

Launching soon, the range will be a dedicated line of door bars and stair products, sporting the Weatherbar name, as Weatherbar continues to expand its presence in the industry.

Synonymous with high-quality, responsibly sourced wood products, Weatherbar there's a reason why trusted by both professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.
